So i am a 15 year old girl. I have never been skinny and was a really tubby kid. These days I'm not obesely fat but am extremely self-conscious, as a lot of teens are. Ive tried different things but that excess tub i seem to have will never go away. So i have decided to become committed to this and an eager to get rid of my chub. I currently weigh 65.5 kg and want to weigh 60kg by the 19th of September which is when i plan on going on holidays and having a great time at the beach. I believe this goal is realistic and can be achieved if i put my mind to it. So that is what i plan on doing.

Today I finally worked up the nerve to start a workout program. I have been underweight my entire life to some extent and even four years in the army didnt help much but to increase my overall endurance and stamina. I weigh 130 pounds now and my first goal is to reach 150 pounds. I "plan" to workout every day for 90 days to see where I am afterwards. I will alternate muscle groups to ensure adequate repair time. After each session I will plan to blog my results. I want a fuller chest, legs, and arms.

I am not very motivated when it comes to working out. It is so much easier to not put forth any effort. But I'm going to pick it up again, after about four months off. Even though I can be very lazy about working out I do miss it. So, here goes nothing.

Ok, I have looked over this site and am excited to get started. I will do my weigh-in in the morning. I hope to have lots of encouragement from not only the people here, but also from my family and friends. I am not over weight, but am not happy with my current body. I want to lose about 10 pounds and shape up.
My journey starts tomorrow,
Wish me luck,
L

All right so today isn't really day one because I've been doing research for a month now (and getting doctors ok) but today is the first day I've put my efforts in motion. I feel great, a little tierd, but still I feel good. Today is Mon. and I work my chest/tricepts today, I think Wen. is bicepts/back but I'm not forsure. I'm trying my hardest to gain musscle, I could care less about lossing fat because I'm where I want to be 120 and loven it. Don't get me wrong, I would like to lose some fat but my main goal is to be able to lift a 25 lb weight with one arm!(not happening anytime soon) I'll just have to wait and work but it is worth it.

So, this is my first time on this website...just found it online. I want to get motivated. I've gained a lot of weight in the last two years, it's ridiculous. I just signed with LA weightloss and started a running routine (okay, right now I'm basically mostly walking)...but I'm out their. Coolrunnings.com ...seemed doable...this is my third day and I feel good...we'll see how week 2 goes.
Just wanted to say hi.

It's been a long time since I felt "healthy". I wouldn't consider myself extremely over-weight (I'm 6' and 220lbs), but I would consider myself extremely out of shape. There was a time in my life where exercise was part of my regular daily routine. I've probably never really eaten "right" so that aspect is new, but here's what my long term goals are...

1. Get physically fit - I want to get back to the point of doing some form of regular exercise on a daily basis and actually feel weird or like something's missing on the days when I DON'T exercise. I've done it before, so I know I can do it again, but getting over the hump of starting all over is always a tough thing to do. MY inspiration for getting over this hump is http://www.rosstraining.com.

Here we go... it is time to start getting back into shape... at 5'11" 220(ish) I have got some work to do.. It is not like I am some sort of slob or anything but I always pack on a few extra pounds over the winter and early spring.... Eventhough I run regularly 4+ miles 4 times a week I am finding it harder and harder to drop the pounds when it is time... I will be 36 this year and I am not ready to start falling apart yet. :) so this will be my lil motivational place to get a little pumped up on hopefully a daily basis... I think starting tomorrow I will be doing 2 a days.... which will be lifting in the early morning and running later in the day on M,W,F,S and then on T,TH I will be swimming in the AM and then attending Wing Chun classes in the PM anyway...

Life Got In The Way... NOT!

I know it's been a while since I last wrote on this blog. I would have reasoned out that Life(tm) got in the way. Then again, exercise should be part of one's lifestyle anyway.

I haven't been following the workout schedule I set for myself. In fact, I haven't been working out, period. But I still lost three pounds in the process. How?

I kept myself moving. Instead of taking the car to the car wash, I cleaned it myself instead... inside and out. I'm reminded of that scene from the Karate Kid. "Wax on. Wax off." After cleaning the car the first time, my arms hurt. But in a good way. There was a doubled sense of fulfillment. One was I was able to burn calories by doing manual labor. Two was being able to appreciate a shining clean car. :D
