Muscle Groups: Chest

Exercise Steps

Lie chest-down with your hands at shoulder level, palms flat on the floor and slightly more than shoulder width apart, feet together and parallel to each other.

Lower body until chest touches the floor. Try not to bend your back. Keep your knees off the floor and inhale as you bend your arms. Keep your head up and looking forward ahead of you.

these are the hardest for me. i can't get myself low enough to touch the floor without collapsing flat on my face.

I do these girly style and they still hurt my back..i dont think I have enough muscle to support my belly lol

sounds like you go to get that core stronger before you start working the upper body.

Elbows out or back?

When my boyfriend does push ups, his elbows stay at his sides, but mine have always tended to go out. Which way is it supposed to be done? If it's just a matter of it working different muscles, what exactly is the difference?
